Every year one lucky game is the recipient of the Brainworms Award, I'm happy to say that this years winner is Cairn. It joins past winners like HiFi Rush, Pillars of Eternity, Death Stranding, Outer Wilds, and Prey (2017), and FFXIV. We look forward to who might win the 2027 award.

The argument of most boosters right now is not the tech is good but rather that it is "everywhere." Thus we all should just get used to it.

I think Cairn has successfully enshrined The Game Bakers in the hall of "devs I will play the games of on launch without fail". For me that's Kojima, Josh Sawyer, Mobius Digital, and probably more I'm missing but those are the big ones. FURI was fantastic, need to go back and play HAVEN now.
