Polly Dunbar & I visited the E. H. Shepard archive - the illustrator of The Wind in the Willows. We set Polly’s illustration of Portly beside E. H. Shepard’s. It was emotional. Polly gave me the picture as a gift. I love brave little Portly so much. I cannot wait for you all to read this book.
