No level in a game has turned me against it faster than Tricks and Traps in Doom II. Inescapable death pits are simply bad game design and severely punishing the player by resetting their inventory with such a cheap trick is inexcusable.

It was nice having a few breather levels in TFC before the monstrosity that is E4M6. The Cyberdemon at the end is diabolical. Smooth sailing after that though.

I'm working my way through Episode 4 (Thy Flesh Consumed) and I'm not a fan of it so far. E4M1 is outright stingy with ammo (in addition to being cramped). E4M2 is a bit better about the ammo but is still cramped and kinda mean with how many Barons of Hell it has.

I've been playing through the original DOOM (1993). The core gameplay is solid, but it occasionally falters in level design. Sometimes you just have to wander around the level looking for a key which kills the pacing.

It feels like yesterday that I started playing the Kingdom Hearts series, but it's actually been about a decade! Kingdom Hearts 2 has always been my favorite, and now I'm taking on critical mode for the first time! Come hang out and watch me suffer! www.twitch.tv/redxparasite
After playing it a bit more, I'm starting to adjust. It just sucks that some of my favorite weapons got the short end of the stick here (splatlings, Explo, etc.). Getting rolled over by a short range shooter feels as bad as I was expecting it to.

My initial reaction to the patch in Splatoon 3 is overwhelmingly negative. I am dying for getting sneezed on and it doesn't feel like I'm reaping the same benefits on my opponents. This is legitimately ruining the game for me.

Nintendo wasn't lying when they said the 11.0 patch was going to shake up Splatoon 3. I'm just desperately hoping flow aura doesn't break the game.

Having to pay so many rank points up front to enter a series puts stakes on performing well in the series way too high. It's all too easy to end up a game or two down with the series in jeopardy. And getting points from a series is largely win dependent and not based on your own performance.

It's not that I can't keep up to a degree. I'm just sick of losing in one of two ways: (1) the team choking away an early lead or (2) getting curb stomped and feeling like I never had a chance. It's demoralizing.

Trying to grind solo queue in Splatoon 3 has convinced me that I shouldn't touch competitive games or ranked modes in any serious capacity again. I'm finding A rank just miserable to play in.

While it didn't feel quite as fast at the beginning, I think I rolled credits on Hades 2 slightly faster than Hades 1. I was a bit impatient to get my first clear but once I hit my stride, I didn't really look back. It's hard to say which I like more tbh, they're very close in my eyes.

Finally got off my ass and played some solo queue in Splatoon 3. It was stressful at times but I've made it to A- for the first time. Side note: My Explo is actually cracked.

I know this goes for pretty much every sports league, but NFL officiating is a joke and the league should be ashamed that this game ended the way it did.
