South London living cyclist. Renovating house to reduce carbon. Solar, battery, heat pump and better planning insulation and ventilation.
Think I might at some point try to do a video on film simulation on the OM-5 Mark II. Found a few videos on YouTube for older cameras and the relevant functions are all moved around. Not OM-3 controls but not no control either. I'm no photographer but it's nice to add to the custom settings.

Lessons learned from photographing distant London Fireworks last night. 1. Tripod and OM System Live Composite works great. 2. Focus on the fireworks start. 3. Set to F stop in AP once the fireworks begins to capture best brightness of the explosions.

This is the mat

How have I only realised this gym mat fits here now? And wide enough for Pilates in 2026. And I think push ups if I can get strong enough.

Tested my 30w folding panel again today with fully overcast medium dark grey clouds. Plugged the panel into to my bigger Anker with a power meter. It registered under 2 watts. So in dark months big battery matters win see when ☀️ comes the difference solar makes.

Lesson learned from camping last year when my battery ran out. Bought a 30w Renology folding solar with PD 3.0 output. First test in overcast uk recharged Anker battery from 90%-100% in a few minutes. Real test to come when sun it out with my bigger battery.

Watching King and Country and I don't think it's nearly as bad as the critics say. But what missing I feel is a series between Vikings of Valhalla and this. I could simply be called "Emma".

Bought some Vichy Catalan sparkling water from M&S. Holy smokes. Maybe don't drink it all in one go. Quite salty, maybe double of San Pelligrino. Full of minerals apparently.

This was so difficult to figure out. Had to force my self not to give up. Thanks to Google Gemini for ideas. Siri immediately wanted to search the web🙄

Started fasting again. Seems like there's more research since the last time I did it in 2013.

More understanding of insulin and gut health. But I think also needs peace of mind. I fell off the wagon when my mum died.

Find the fasting schedule you can tolerate, that works, I think.

So I just learned that if a SunAmp heat batt is paired with an Eddi, it won't fully charge to leave some space for the Eddi to heat from excess ☀️. But I'm charging from a Vaillant heat pump. So it doesn't charge to full and then the heat pump dumps the excess heat into the radiators. Not smart!

In slight disbelief. But it's time to sell my iPad Pro. Refurbed and ready. Will sell my Mac Mini Pro too. Think I should get enough to buy new ones. Crazy.

Oh dear. Thought repainting yellowed glossed white paint would be simple. But lesson learned. Rough sand paper to rip off the gloss from flat surfaces 💪😷and sponge sander for the details 💪💪 😷. Off to the DIY shop for me.
