An Empty Space Where Thought Should Go
@redfoxiii.bsky.social
Xitter refugee.
Welp. Today marks the first time I searched for information on the net and could not find an answer due to there being too much AI slop messing with SEO that any actual answer was buried.

I didn’t have Alton Brown’s Good Eats! Making a comeback out of his home kitchen on TikTok of all places on my 2025 bingo card… but we could all use something nice right now

I put The Martian on at work and man. What a concise reminder that we don’t have to be at the yoke of post capitalist fascism at all times.

Fuck what the US is at this moment. We deserve better.

I wish American society worked to give us more painfully beautiful moments than horribly cruel ones.

Because the world is beautiful, and people are amazing, and suffering need not be inherent to either.

Project 2025 is in power and in full swing. Food is rotting in fields, ALL federal funding grants are 'paused' - from roads to medical science to schools.

What the actual fuck are we supposed to do. You can even look online, nobody knows. It's all prevention.

People are gonna die. A lot of them.

Just imagine what the pettiest, meanest, stupidest, most counter-intuitive response to anything is and… yep, the strump administration just did that.

It’ll be a long 4 years minimum. Or maybe much shorter. A giant meteor could always change our plans.

God I’m going to miss TikTok.

It feels like it’s full of humans - or at least, emotional connections to humans - shared experiences and little pieces of art and music.

I mean, not every bit of it - of course not. But they’re taking away something meaningful for so many on made up, stupid pretense.

One of the most pleasant things about watching the @detroitlions.bsky.social this year has been the consistent positive masculinity of the locker room culture.

From Dan Campbell at the top down, it's undeniable proof that compassion, selfless pride, and forgiveness are the truest measure of men.

Physical media is pretty great, but data is forever.

I have 25 year old word documents.

All 13 years of twitter uploaded here because continuity I guess.

The weirdest part of it was looking back and seeing how much identifying info was in there, from 4square to pictures to… man, we sure trusted early-mid social media with personal info. We probably should have known better.

Will this be the site to deliver on the promise of social media that was made 20 years ago?

Album Review: Just Mustard - Heart Under Time is a flat circle. Somehow, via HEALTH and noise rock and waify-sounding female Irish singers, we’ve arrived back at trip-hop and it’s 1998 again. Heart Under is brilliantly executed ambient,... https://tmblr.co/ZXvlxxccXtU60a00

Does anyone over 30 belong on the internet? I’m here but I feel like maybe that shouldn’t be allowed. I think it might be mostly old bigoted republicans who saying ‘caring is for the young.’ But in a different sense, maybe the crushing weight... https://tmblr.co/ZXvlxxccDcITma00

Star Trek: Discovery (Thoughts) - I’m part way through season 2 and here’s some thoughts: In many ways I think Discovery could have been an entirely new series. Most of what it shares with prior Star Trek series is names. As it’s gone on it’s... https://tmblr.co/ZXvlxxc0EdXv8m00

Cowboy Bebop (2021, Netflix) *SPOILERS?* I’ll try not. This was always going to be a lightning hunting expedition where they handed out bottles to everyone, because, hey, the first guy did it, I’m sure we can, too. Turns out you can’t capture... https://tmblr.co/ZXvlxxb7G3guqW00

I’d like to get off of Facebook because I don’t want to support them, but there are a whole ton of people I don’t think I would ever hear from or see again if I did.
Perhaps I use it as a social anxiety crutch.
