Happy New Year! Most of the Story Expansion epilogue content has been completed, and Eymen is well under way to be worked on! This months patch features a King Slayer rework! Alongside getting his assistance to fight a certain nuisance.

Story Expansions The Templars Set-up Content - 100% Building - 100% Interactions/Content - 99% The Miniboss - 5% The Underworld Set-up Content - 100% Building - 100% Interactions/Content - 90% The Miniboss - Noza whips and nae naes! - 20% -> 100% Ruined Kingdom - 83.3% AVG Soulless Caverns - 100% Deep Space - 100% 4th Omega Prototype - 10% Ritualist - 67.5% AVG Multiplayer - ~32% ----------------------------- Noza is complete, this leaves Eymen, RK boss's phase 2, and 4th Omega Prototype as the main things remaining for me :muehehe: Along with making Noza, this month also saw more additions to the ruined kingdom, mainly critters and some new ambient areas. To remind you of our expectations, next year is really really really really going to be the year the update comes out, but to make sure of that, we plan to first have a "Singleplayer Release", and afterwards work solely to fix multiplayer, since without the rush to finish content, we can focus more deeply on multiplayer. This month's patch will have fixes, new Mod Calls and fixes for crossmod, a new magic weapon to help with pre-boss, a rework to the Circlet of Brambles to be useful across all classes, and some other stuff

This month ended up finishing up Ruined Kingdom content, save for the bosses p2. Noza is fully animated and all that's left is attack implementation. Not much to show this month, but we can show off some Ritualist daggers!

Making a change to this, I think I'll now show every percentage so newer readers get a better picture of progress: Story Expansions The Templars Set-up Content - 100% Building - 100% Interactions/Content - The first 2/3 quests are finished, and a way to get Hikarite has been added, all thats left is a minigame and the final quest. - 65% -> 95% The Miniboss - I've assembled the man. - 0% -> 5% The Underworld Set-up Content - 100% Building - 100% Interactions/Content - The first 2/3 quests are finished, a bunch more dialogue written, gambling currency made, and new enemies/fwends added, theres more to finish compared to the Templars, such as the minigames, final quest, and other things. - 65% -> 80% The Miniboss - Spriting has begun. - 0% Ruined Kingdom - 87.5% AVG Soulless Caverns - 100% Deep Space - 100% 4th Omega Prototype - 10% Ritualist - 67.5% AVG Multiplayer - ~32% ----------------------------- Those quests are tough to make, you'll probably understand when you see them, but I think they're things that have never been tried before in mods. Next month will hopefully see the final quests finished and minibosses started on, but next month is also the start of my 3rd year of uni. Spoilers will be less frequent or smaller from now on as we near the end of the update, don't be surprised if it goes into next year though

2/3 of the quests for the Expansions are finished, only minibosses, minigames and an event left! Said quests are quite tough to make, potentially featuring stuff never done in mods! Spoilers might slow down as we approach the end of update development.

Depends on what you mean by new update! This months patch, up to Pre-HM (well most of it). Beyond that, full 0.8 may or may not launch with full multiplayer support, we're uncertain, it's a matter of what we can before we feel like releasing. Even in that case multiplayer will follow soon after!

Further work has been done on the Story Expansions, with dialogue being written for both! This month's major change has been multiplayer! Most of Pre-HM should be playable in multiplayer now. For this month's spoiler, a look at a new NPC, Impaler Buck.

Further note: Although a release this year is possible, it would likely be without Multiplayer support. We're aware we've promised it for a long time, but we would like to get this update out within the year as well.

An Imp sits in a hut inside of the Underworld, stirring a cauldron. Ruined Kingdom The Boss Phase 1 - Took a year to get back to it, but I've finished the final touches for first phase of sword man!! Second phase will be a challenge to make, so I'll probably finish the Story Expansion things before I try all dat - 95% -> 100%, Phase 2 - 0%, Rewards - 55%, Story Expansions The Templars Set-up Content - 100%, Building - 100%, Interactions/Content - 50%, The Miniboss - Spriting for Eymen has begun - 0%, The Underworld Set-up Content - 100%, Building - The front gate and a place in-between it and Bastion has been made, all thats left is the Bastion itself and something else - 40% -> 65%, Interactions/Content - The furniture for the casino Bastion has been added. 22 is a pretty funny number I think. - 20% -> 22%, The Miniboss - 0%, Half a month and I've done quite a bit - building bastion stuff, finishing Ruined Kingdom boss's first phase, and even cross mod content with various swagging mods!!! This month's patch features this new cross mod content with Spirit Reforged, New Beginnings, a bit of Thorium, and a tiny bit of Calamity Fables. Spirit Reforged has released a patch with their side of the compatibility, featuring Elements and Bonuses for all their weapons and NPCs, and more!

The elements system is getting some improvements to feel more clean, with these changes comes a new UI to view your elemental resistances and damage percentages :tpose:
