XC2 was always fine. Its only issues were the gacha and the fact that Rex could be slightly annoying at times. A lot of the flak it received was because some people couldn't accept that fictional characters can have sexy designs.

Thinking about it and it's kind of incredible the amount of influence media that came out in 2000 to 2006 has on me. I just don't engage with modern media the same way.
