Sunday marks 14 years since SOPA/PIPA were rejected, protecting American's access to information and a free, open internet. Today, site-blocking bills such as PADRA and FADPA threaten those same rights and Re:Create remains committed to defending a free and open internet.

Executive Director @bb.usefairuse.com weighed in on X’s new lawsuit against NMPA, drawing on his research that examines how music publishers have long colluded on licensing deals which have in turn affected artists, the broader creative industries, and the public’s access to content ⬇️
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day, so maybe X/Elon is onto something with this lawsuit against the Nat'l Music Publishers Ass'n and its members. I've been documenting overreach by groups like this for years, and it's kinda fun to see them butt heads with a real bully.
