It's like they never heard of it. 🤦‍♀️

I definitely enjoyed my okra while I had it. 🥰

I listen to my 13 yo talk so much that current slang is apparently creeping into my speech when I'm teaching, without being aware of it. New level unlocked, or did they just bring old slang back to life again? 🤔

I chopped back my okra as far as I could when the temps were reliably dipping below 50*. Those dang okra kept growing leaves and flowering! I think the first freeze we had may have killed them... Or I'll have okra growing all winter. 🤦‍♀️

Do we need one? Absolutely. Is the white electorate willing to vote for and accept one? Apparently fucking not. 😭🤬

That looks sooo good, and no one in my house will eat it. 😭

I'm about to crawl through the phone, that looks so good!

With the amount of bruises and scrapes I got just from trying to change out the front brakes, that doesn't bode well for me. 🤣

I have to do that on my Odyssey as well. 😬

I have these definitions written on a sticky note on the wall in my office. 🤦‍♀️ I feel you.

That's awesome, I'm jealous! 😁 (I hope that others read my repost, since she needed absolutely no help with this project.)

Pinterest and YouTube are also really good resources to find out how to easily build a small food pantry or little library. It's not as difficult as people think!

If you are in an area that has them, looking for old wood fencing can be helpful as well. It's amazing how much wood you can repurpose if you have access to the Internet and some basic tools (hammer, drill, maybe a mitre saw).
Hmmm. Look for old pallets. 🤔
Shouldn't be too hard to make from those.

8 y.o. has discovered The Minecraft Movie (with ASL) and we are both entranced. He keeps turning to me, saying "hey mom, [this word] is this in ASL!" 🥰

Full disclosure: I do not like carving pumpkins. (Or dyeing Easter eggs.) My kids like it, so I have to help with a smile on my face.

Focus less on issues like democracy? Climate change? Abortion? What in the actual fuck is this nonsense?

I hope my coneflowers eventually look like yours! I'm so impatient. 😁

The more I research and learn, the more my first question is "what does (thing) look like to you?" Mentoring, support, advocacy, etc. What are you expecting to receive? Follow up questions: what do you get? What do you provide? 🤔

My husband is just fantastic at pictures. The monarchs haven't left yet. I need to print these pictures and hang them in my walls for peace. 🥰 🌱 #gardening #NTexas

Black men didn't do this. Hispanics didn't do this. WHITE PEOPLE did this, even if you and everyone you know didn't! We, collectively, are the majority, of all the damn things. It's our fault. Only we can fix it.

Fucking hell.

Stop telling Black and Brown people "I didn't do it, I voted for her!" Who gives a shit?! What are you doing now, besides wringing your hands, telling everyone that you're the "good one"? At the absolute fucking *least*, shut up! And read/listen/fucking LEARN!

Jfc. How many times can it be said until us white people fucking understand: sure, not all white people. But *too many* white people voted that they were okay with this! If it wasn't you, awesome, fucking scroll on, and then go talk to the fucking white people in your orbit that *did*.
Correction: Math. White America is 75% of the voting population. White people decide elections.
Correction, many Latinos consigned to this as well.

I'm so sorry that you are going through so much! Sending love and support from Denton. I went through a doc program with a family, and it's freaking tough. Even more so as you are keeping a job going, in Texas. 🫂

I had 8 at the highest count last year, so I'm just amazed at the numbers this year!

Fried green tomatoes, chow chow, and also salsa verde! My kids don't want me to ripen my fall tomatoes, they want salsa verde. As soon as I make some, they eat it the same day. 🤣

The monarchs are very happy with my flowers right now. I probably have 30+ enjoying my mystic spires salvia, mistflower, and agastache! #NTexas #gardening 🌱

I've learned so much since I've been teaching, it amazes me sometimes. ☺️

I'm sitting with 5# of okra right now. 😬 I'm going to pickle some of it, the rest I'll just chop and freeze for gumbos and stews for the next year.
