Religious rituals feel powerful because they’re designed to. Group chanting, music, fasting, and prayer trigger emotional highs—but emotional intensity doesn’t equal truth. It’s psychology, not divinity.

If Jesus knew in advance who would be damned no matter what, then his sacrifice was hardly a rescue mission. It’s more like a piece of theater where the ending—eternal suffering for many—was never in doubt.

I’d love to hear an explanation for why prayer doesn’t empty hospitals or heal amputees. Science seems to have far more consistent results when it comes to saving lives.
