I meant to do a lot more writing this weekend but the SUN (my beloved nemesis) was out so I had to spend most of it in the garden instead. In my defence, I’ve never had my own garden before! 🥹 Also, I love digging in mud, which is fortunate. 🌸

London Book Fair: for two weeks, we stop working on real books to make samples (‘blads’) to sell international rights (which props up much colour publishing), and I (managing editor, in charge of making said real books) go Out. Of. My. Mind.

Thinking about #composition a lot today. Visual artists can turn a picture upside down, look at it in a mirror, etc, to assess how the composition is working…

Despite my HUGE new year energy, so much has been getting in the way of writing. I’m only on my fifth chapter of the year and sometimes it feels this project will never end.
