It's really telling when city leadership wants to double down on their tactics which are bringing such hardship to our city. I don't think any of of our reps are bad people but at the end of the day whether it's "ill-intentioned" or "incompetence" the same consequences result for our citizens.

In my line of work "word of mouth is the BEST advertising." Let the people talk. I hate to think about the condition of PDX in 3-1/2 more yrs at this rate.
Things are already worse. The people see they've ignored the seriousness of the drug crisis on their streets and their refusal to even admit.

They should buy Big Pink. That's $40 million, then spend another $60 Million to upgrade it and make it the best public school(s) in the nation with world class facilities. Lease some of the floors at a preferential rate to colleges to create even better resources for students. Save ~$1.73 Billion.
