I have said this many times but unions are uniquely good at fighting this administration bc they are some of the only institutions led by people who aren’t afraid to antagonize the rich
WE WON. I am *begging* you to take note of who did this. *Not* UCLA admin—they’re still scuttling around behind closed doors, attempting to appease—but FACULTY AND STAFF, led by AAUP.
BREAKING: In AAUP et al v. Trump (wall-to-wall union lawsuit challenging the administration’s unlawful use of TItle VI to reshape the University of California system), the faculty and staff of the UC system WON!!!

We were granted our preliminary injunction! @aaup.org

If I ran HR for an enormous media corporation I would simply not illegally fire employees who came to my office to ask me questions about layoffs. I would also not make statements to the press saying that the employees had threatened me by asking me questions.

Condé Nast's actions are in direct violation of our contracts and of labor law. Solidarity with our unjustly fired colleagues across the company. This is not over.

A splinter group of my cute New Moms chat was formed to vent about returning-to-work stress and there’s a very high level of mutual radicalizing happening as everyone shares their overwhelm and tales of unbookable pumping rooms and rigid in-office rules… what if we all quit and form the Mommy Lobby
