Specifically, ones from the Renaissance to the 20th century, performed by Reading Bach Choir?

Well, you can hear just that when they perform "Bonfire of the Vanities" on 7 February at St Thomas of Canterbury Church, Goring.

Basildon Park is closed today and tomorrow, but open from Boxing Day onwards - including New Year's Day.

In short, plenty of time to swing by and check out their "Enchantment of Ballet" Christmas installation. And the rest of the grounds, too.

What's Christmas without a sing-song?

And this weekend, you can do just that, because the Friday night open mic at The Butler is going ahead on Boxing Day.

(bonus points if you *don't* sing "The Boxer" by Simon & Garfunkel)

We love a good collab.
We love projects that look into our town's social history.
And we love a good party.

"The Sound", a new SITELINES piece from @southstreetarts.bsky.social and @uniofreading.bsky.social celebrating Reading's #soundsystem culture of the 1970s, is all that in one!
