This weekend RCSI celebrated its annual Teddy Bear Hospital in aid of Oscar's Kids Ireland.

Over 600 children brought teddies for check-ups and surgical procedures. The children were able to explore 16 stations including x–ray, dentistry, phlebotomy and mental health.

Research led by The University of Edinburgh, in collaboration with RCSI's Dr Edmund Gilbert, has mapped the genetics of haemochromatosis across the UK and Ireland.

The study analysed data from 400,000 people and identified hotspots in Irish and Scottish populations.

The Beaumont RCSI Irish Cancer Society Lung Health Check has reached a major milestone, with its first curative lung cancer surgeries.

More than 1,700 people have been screened to date, helping detect cancer early and enable life-saving treatment.
