I sent my first email in 1984/85, when I went to University. Remember I thought it was cool. Discussed it with my brother, who said, “Why don’t you use Memo”, which was a messaging application on an IBM mainframe, developed by an automotive company in Gothenburg. Memo still existed in late 90s.

AI generated software will kill open source, some say. In the short term, I think open source will be drowned by AI generated code. In the long term, open source will probably disappear or be radically changed.
