Big bull moose and beautiful weather in Southcentral Alaska are like finding a Unicorn! Plus I got to reconnect with a number of photographer friends yesterday. It was a great time. Shot at 300 mm so he is very big.

Pre-dawn Aurora - if you can't catch the late show, try the early morning show. Aurora Borealis in Eagle River Valley, Alaska. I believe the brightest "star" is Venus.

Sandhill Crane - I think their guttural calls is one of the most distinctive among birds. Just the ancient sound alone is enough for me to believe that they are descendants of dinosaurs.
