Overflowing cat in a box

I should be working on cleaning stuff off my computer, but instead am dividing my attention between 2 books: Dianaworld: with its many competing images of Princess Diana from real to mythical. The other is Alan Rickman’s diary Madly, Deeply which leaves me longing for him alive & in a new movie.

Yesterday was a beautiful day so I decided to drive to the coast to get away from doomscrolling & breath in.

An account of a year in her back yard but also a meditation on life, death, and change. I found it very comforting to read in these troubling days.

So, much like I don’t spend my travel/vacation dollars in states that are actively discriminating against women I have started to track companies who are ridding themselves of any policies that honor inclusivity & diversity. So far, for me, my biggest problem will be my reliance on Amazon.

I try to keep up with what is happening in this country, but swear every day that I just want to pull the covers over my head and find it is just a bad dream. It’s not and I won’t but just saying…
