My Oscar-qualifying sapphic short film, "AND THEN" is now available to watch! Set in Tokyo — a story of insomnia, longing, and two women who quietly fall into each other. AND THEN is a poetic exploration of connection when sleep won’t come and love arrives instead.

While no woman has ever won the Oscar for Best Cinematography in its nearly 100-year history, I hope it happens this year with “Sinners” lensed by Autumn Durald Arkapaw. It would be so deserved.

If you see this, don't participate. It's a rigged study by Lisa Littman and unethical researcher J. Michael Bailey meant to undermine access to care. Spread the word.

American living in London. In my late 30s, I went from cohabitating in a marriage (which ended) to living in a houseshare with a Danish person, a Brit, a tuxedo cat, and a big ginger cat from Greece. I still live with them, and I love it. There is life after your 30s, and the end of a relationship!

Preserving a piece of Vietnamese cinema history and the magic of movie theaters. After some detective work, I’m excited to share rare photos and stories of the cinema my mom visited as a youth in Hội An, Vietnam, before the war escalated.

Today, I sat in the same cinema where my mom watched films, in the country she escaped from when she was younger than I am now, while I returned as a visitor.

Growing up Vietnamese in the USA, my family rarely made Pho. This is what our food actually looked like! Bún riêu, Bún bò Huế, and various rice and tapioca based small eats! My family background is mostly central and southern with northern roots. x
