Yesterday at the Nebraska Book Festival with my dear friends, Janice Miller and Bob Ross. Bob won the "poetry honor" award for his new collection, "Those We Can No Longer See," and was hilarious, as usual, at a roundtable discussion. Bravo, Bob! #NebraskaBookFestival #NebraskaPoetry

Go first to the author. I sell my books at about 30% less than Amazon or the publisher. Getting readers is more important than getting money! #BuyDirectlyFromTheAuthor #IndieBookSellers #SayNoToAmazon #WhereToBuyBooks
Wherever possible please buy your books directly from authors and/or publishers. Even ebooks (then Amazon can't delete them either). We make a better cut and you get the same thing or better, plus Bezos and ilk don't get richer. Win win win.

Yesterday at my branch library, I heard a woman talking on her cell phone to someone who was directing her how to find a book, "The Secret." It wasn't going well. Or maybe it was. "I may have to start reading books," I heard her say. #Librarylove #PublicLibraries #BookLovers #EiseleyBranchLibrary
