This is such a difficult question to truly answer. I think the biggest value point of me for a college education was the networks and soft skills I learned being around people with differing opinions and backgrounds. I’d like to see VCU do a longitudinal analysis on this!

My first visiting scholar opportunity was epic! Reflecting the insights shared from a variety of backgrounds, it’s more clear to me than ever that 1. Local gov’ts are the best 2. First responders do God’s work, and 3. Good emergency mgmt must have collaboration and preparedness TFTI San Diego State

Day 1 of #IRSPM2025 and presented our Maui research first thing! I presented on the networks of nonprofits while Kaila Witkowski presented on acts of resistance and co-production. Up tomorrow, 4/8 at 5:30 pm is our 3rd presentation, looking at capacity building for crisis prep from the Maui context
