Conference season comes to an end with this last one in beautiful Cádiz, Spain 🇪🇸 A large international meeting made possible thanks to EU short-term mobility grant by SEA-EU (The European University of the Seas). A perfect finale under the sunny skies of southern Spain ☀️🌊

Does population size shape protein coevolution?
I explored this in my talk today at the MPI for Evolutionary Biology.
Our work in mammals suggests the answer is yes - genetic drift is a major determinant of compensatory mutations.

Really enjoyed being at Biology of Genomes 2025: great science, great people, and great feedback on my work! Also cool and interesting to learn how academic systems differ across countries. #BoG25
