Kaveh stares at the wall overhead, struggling to ignore the sinful scarlet moving in the corner of his eye. “Hm. Why should I have expected you to intrude on my privacy?” It’s a stupid question. He’s being an ass. But Kaveh finds himself taking the bait anyway, just how he always does when they bicker—and that’s better than taking the other bait in this room, which is laid out temptingly on the mattress in red fucking lace. “You had to know I’d be annoyed,” Kaveh says, folding his arms. “I’ve been complaining for days, and you know that I act impulsively when I’m irritated, and you didn’t lock the door, and you were so damn loud, so you clearly meant for me to hear you and come in here and—and—augh! I can’t believe you!” Second screenshot of text. The text reads: “I never complain about your noises,” Alhaitham says matter-of-factly. “Shouldn’t I receive that same courtesy from you?” Kaveh is breathing too quickly. And if that happens, he’s not sure what idiotic things he might end up doing. Tighnari’s weary voice echoes in his mind. You should probably figure out— Yes, well, it’s too late for that. Alhaitham skipped the striptease and went straight to lounging around in sexy underwear. All Kaveh can do now is pray that he’s able to keep his eyes above Alhaitham’s neckline.
