Half man / corporate shill. It was a website once, back when this fandom used to _make_ things.

I may have gone too far in a few places.

Villamax’s change of heart in PRLG's “Journey’s End, Part II” mirrors and inverts the flower scene from Frankenstein (1931). In the original, the monster accepts flowers from a little girl he tragically kills. Villamax, by contrast, accepts flowers from a girl he’s just saved.

Back in May 1993, the original intention was to premiere Day of the Dumpster, the very first episode of Power Rangers, on September 6th, rather than the special presentation on August 28th.

I believe the circuitry is a deliberate attempt to put a modern spin on the ancient motifs.

The OhRanger suits contain references to ancient Egyptian fashion, specifically the Usekh broad collar.

Traditionally beaded, the patterns become abstract in the modern interpretation.

1994's Ohranger suits featured motifs on the chest, belt, boots & gloves from ancient civilisations.

According to designer Katsushi Murakami, the helmets originally were animal-based before becoming geometric shapes.

OhRed's helmet was originally a pentagon representing number 5.

I was offered this for sale almost 20 years ago. It was substantially cheaper than it's sold for in the last few years.

This interview with Jason David Frank was published in the Official Mighty Morphin Power Rangers magazine in the UK on 25th November 1995.

This was one of the earliest mentions of Power Rangers Zeo, before filming on the season began.

Did any of you actually get to go to see this tour in person?

I got one of these new at retail back when Boukenger aired. It was probably the last sentai item I bought that era- I sold everything off in the early 2010s for peanuts.

It’s pretty hard to get these complete in box in a good condition anymore. Cool to get one again!

In 1997, Bulk and Skull were famously turned into chimps, then rendered invisible... during Power Rangers Turbo.

But why did this happen?

Let’s talk about one of the weirdest detours in Power Rangers history… 🦍🕵️‍♂️

My irresponsible purchases continue with the SH Figuarts x Chogokin Hulkbuster! I have literally no space on the Iron Man shelf to put this.

This is one I always liked the look of and finally pulled the trigger on. It’s a little less common- does anyone recognise it?

I think I've been able to screen match the Super Dino Mode Blue Ranger costume that I won in the PR HeritageAuction.

The weathering on the spikes is unique to each Super costume.

I've been able to find these two little marks very briefly at the end of "Leader of the Whack".

I’m 13 years late to this, but it’s a really neat little toy. It reminds me of the Astro Morpher.

The size of the wristband is absolutely criminal though. Who do they think their target audience is? 5 year old Japanese boys?
