The darkness that was 2025 did not overcome the light. In 2026 the light will only grow more bright.

“We usually imagine “Silent Night” as a gentle lullaby wrapped in candlelight and nostalgia. But heaven was not quiet. Heaven was erupting with glory, with angelic choirs warming up their voices, with divine joy leaking through the seams of the sky.” open.substack.com/pub/graceint...

Thankful for the graces not yet attained, fellowship nearer to Christ not yet reached, and heights of communion not yet ascended.

Found these images I made published in four different publications. They have a Creative Commons license, and I had no idea they had been published. Not complaining. Bragging. I’m honored they were used.

If I have any regrets about moving from California it would be that I won’t be able to vote for Betty Yee for Governor.

I made the image with Betty at the microphone at a CA Democratic Party meeting some years ago. A copy is (or was) on display at the party headquarters in Sacramento.

Through adversity nature finds a way to thrive. This tree found a way to grow through a brick wall at the roofline of a building in downtown Newnan, GA.

Least Sandpiper at Panama Beach, FL, Nov. 2017. During I processing I noticed the blue string that had become entangled around the sandpipers leg. These things happen, but we can all do a better job of taking care of our environment and perhaps keep these things from happening quite so much.

I’m standing on the Rock of Ages,
In safety I may here abide;
The surging waves will not o’erwhelm me,
I’m fearing neither wind or tide.

I’m standing on the Rock of Ages,
The angry winds go sweeping by;
No storm can shake the rock beneath me,
I’m singing as the waves dash high.

You’re getting your wish. Immigrant workers aren’t showing up, and farm owners are hiring.
