Hello Bluesky! I’m Jennifer (Jenn, Cran).

I’m a contemporary romance writer from the Oregon Coast, married to my high school sweetheart, cat herder, mom of two, bookish fangirl, lifelong a-ha fan, and professional non-profit fundraiser. 👋🏻
PS On a related note, I probably owe many of you a Follow Back as I, too, have been in hiding for some time.

That's right, my fellow introverts!

January 2 is the global day to celebrate ourselves.

Let's see how the festivities are going!

Darting? That should be starting?
Happy 2026! How are you darting the New Year?

So far, I'm home. Enjoying the beginning of a long weekend, watching the guys watch the Oregon Ducks in the Orange Bowl.

We are under tsunami advisory on the Oregon Coast. We are safe and keeping an eye on developments. That being said, our home is on high ground. Be safe, everyone!❤️

Working through some thoughts on how this book will end.

My headline for this section in my journal?

"Do I Actually Have The Balls?"

Day 17 - Current word count

3 main characters - 2 men, 1 woman.

Lots of complications.

Playlist in progress.

Multiple locales.

Title selected.

And one author, frantically trying to keep pace with all the action.

Officially, I've written just under 10,000 words in 10 days.

Unofficially, my best guess is around 25,000-30,000 words.

Either way, I haven't written like this. Ever.

This feels ... special.

I missed posting April's Locklear Library on Substack. So that means you'll get two of them in May. That's two opportunities to win!

Since I can't cheer the @seattlekraken.com in the #StanleyCup playoffs, I will be rooting for @winnipegjets.com (for Brandon Tanev) the @tblightningnhl.bsky.social (for Yanni Gourde) and the @montrealcanadiens.bsky.social (for Sylvain Reynard)

What book left you aching to stay in its world?

For me, it was The Raven Scholar by Antonia Hodgson. This book was magnificent. Political intrigue, murder, trials, & one very stubborn scholar I couldn’t help but love.
