Utterly unbelievable! Please help @kalwradio.bsky.social

The stripping away $1.1 billion in already-approved federal public media funding is devastating for KALW, with a loss of over $400,000 in our annual budget.

If KALW has ever informed you, moved you, or helped you feel connected to the Bay Area—this is your moment to act.

For anyone who has been in the restaurant game, read this book.
And if you haven’t been in the restaurant industry, you should still read this book.

So much of this book is my life in the industry. I was never an assistant to high powered chefs, but the harassment, the discrimination and the drinking are all in my history of working in bars and restaurants.
Having said that, you should read this book.

This clip is from my interview with Patrick Machel from Anchor Brewery.
I was stunned (as were many San Franciscans) when the news broke that the iconic brewery would be closing its doors. Such a huge loss to the beer world and to San Francisco. Thanks Patrick, for sharing your love of Anchor.

From a few years back.
So sad Anchor Brewery is gone.

One of my favorite bars in SF.
One of my favorite photos of city life. It reminds me of San Francisco in the 90s.
More about bars, bartender life, worker’s rights and all the good stuff.

I know the 🌉 gets all the coverage, but I think the Bay Bridge is kind of pretty.
