It’s hilarious to me seemingly every football writer blames every Saints problem since 2021 on the cap, which is complete nonsense, but ignores the horrific drafting and draft philosophy. Which is 99% of the issue. It’s almost like 2016-17 drafts have them scared to mention it

Cap space has always been over rated. Draft well and then pay your guys. There’s never been a team built mostly through free agency that won long term

Cap space has always been over rated. Draft well and then pay your guys. There’s never been a team built mostly through free agency that won long term
Reminder the Saints need between 5-10 million in cap space to sign draft picks and function during the season with roster moves. So even if they plan to do bare bones free agency like last year they still have a couple not great choices to do
