Mountain Equipment Coop (MEC) was my favourite retail store. It sold goods for an outdoor lifestyle. It was a cooperative with a Board of Directors elected by members, people like me. I valued that. Then, it sold itself to an American company. Now, that company is selling it again. Frustrating.
