Today two totally different people told me I am "an angel of a person": 1) a sweet non-creepy older man on the mountain, 2) a 3rd year undergrad woman in my French class after she found out I am also a prof at Concordia and insisted she must take my class before she graduates #fullmoon #serendipity

This is the same eugenic belief system that many still hold re: the ongoing pandemic. They believe people’s deaths from covid are acceptable if they’re medically vulnerable. It’s a disgusting ableist belief system and this rhetoric surrounding children in Gaza is the natural consequence of that
I’m kind of speechless with this one. I can’t imagine the kind of person who continues to make the argument that it doesn’t count as real starvation if the kids were already sick.

1350 Euro to pay if my article I took time to write (!!!) is published in the respected "Media and Communication" journal? Journal believes that no author should pay that & I should get my institution to pay it. My institutional funds are v limited and def not around 2600CAD equivalent to publish.
