A statement from the newly formed North West LGBTQ+ Supporters Club Alliance. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

We are proud to launch the North West LGBTQ+ Supporters Club Alliance, a new regional network bringing together LGBTQ+ football supporters clubs from across the North West of England. The alliance has been formed to provide a supportive, collaborative space for groups to connect, share best practice and support one another. By strengthening ties between LGBTQ+ supporters’ groups, we aim to help each group grow while increasing LGBTQ+ visibility and inclusion across football. The supporters clubs that make up the alliance are: Canal Street Blues - Manchester City Claret & Proud - Burnley FC Proud Bluebirds - Barrow AFC Proud Rovers - Blackburn Rovers Rainbow Devils - Manchester United This alliance remains open to other LGBTQ+ supporters clubs, whether they are well established or just starting out. We encourage groups who are interested in joining to get in touch. The network is intentionally informal and flexible, complementing the national work of Pride in Football and the Football Supporters’ Association LGBTQ+ Hub, while offering the added value of regional collaboration. Launching during Football v Homophobia’s Month of Action, this alliance represents a shared commitment to ensuring football is a sport where everyone can support their club safely, visibly and with pride.

We attended our first Sheffield Wednesday Deaf FC game of 2026 yesterday! 💙🦉

A powerhouse midfield provided the momentum and pressure to secure a 3-0 win over FC Farsley Deaf. 💪

It also secured them the England Deaf Football North League title in their first #swfc season! 👏
