NextJS 15 should've been a stable release. Turbopack still does not support a few common libraries, React 19 RC is still junky, no backwards compatibility with React 18 for app router and the coolest features like React Compiler or Rust compiler for CSS are not that great yet.

I rolled back to 14.

So I just spent the past 12 hours working a prototype logging library for NextJS (that works with client, server and edge)

I made it work, finally. Now I want to create a transport to Sentry, so that I can send error logs to it.

Let's pray!

More languages, more insights!

A few interesting takeaways:

* Java and Kotlin are quick! Possible explanation: Google is heavily invested in performance here.
* Js is really fast as far as interpreted / jit languages go.
* Python is quite slow without things like PyPy.

Holy shit! First time using @bsky.app and it feels like what Twitter should've been. I am really impressed.
