Had a nice little surprise on my way to work this morning: I was driving through The Plaza and crews were testing some of the lights that'll be making things festive for the holidays. I felt like I was getting a VIP sneak preview.

Raise your hand if you do this: you’re eating fries and you dip one into the ketchup, but there’s way too much ketchup on it so you immediately put another one or two in your mouth in order to balance the tomato-to-potato ratio.

Anyone else?

I'm convinced there is a poltergeist here at work; every once in a while all of the studio lights will go dark for no reason, and they just did about ten minutes ago. The computers all stay lit so it's not like I'm plunged into total darkness but it's very weird ...

I've been hearing this song on the airwaves for a few weeks and finally looked it up, and not only is it fantastic - it's local! Katy Guillen is real-deal awesome.

In Missouri, police aren't required to report misconduct in a certain amount of time and face no consequences for not doing so. It also isn't a state that automatically revokes a police license when an officer is convicted of a crime. (@themarshallproject.org)
How Missouri is letting police officers stay licensed after serious misconduct
Missouri's system often takes years to resolve a misconduct allegation, in some cases allowing officers to move on to a new department. In one glaring example, former Kansas City detective Eric DeValkeneare took five years to surrender his license after being convicted for manslaughter.
