Sassy things I’ve said to middle schoolers recently:

“Don’t throw your friend over the railing, witness a murder isn’t on my to do list.”

“I AM the villain in this horror story.”

“Maybe the review doesn’t like you.”

“I’m literally paid to spy on you.”

“That’s a YOU problem I won’t be solving.”

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive

introverted, but willing to discuss my dogs.
