I was excited to go to the opening of Winter Light, an exhibition by Bath Open Studios, at Burdall's Yard on the London Road in Bath. So pleased to see my little painting on the wall. The exhibition runs until mid-Dec. The venue is open sporadically, but is open Monday-Friday this week.

Very chilly this morning. I've been awake since 1.30 - not ideal, but I did have an idea for the book I'm writing. Yesterday, we had full on sunshine all day. The afternoon light on trees at Sydney Gardens was gorgeous. What a blessed relief after all that Weather. Have a good day! xx

Cold and clear this morning. I was beguiled into the fields by the sliver of crescent moon. It was a bit too dark really but, for once, the dogs behaved themselves and we emerged in one piece (well, three pieces) so biscuits all round when we got home! Good job, everypawdy! Have a good day! Xx

All quiet this morning, which makes a nice change after some recent barkathons. I had a good walk with B yesterday - everything was still soggy from the day before, but starting to dry out. I liked this cormorant perched in a treetop. Have a good day! Xx

Not raining this morning but kind of misty with moisture just hanging in the air. I did go out in yesterday's deluge to pick up some leaflets and enjoyed the view of the city from this little alleyway. Have a good day! Xx

It's a soggy morning here, so how about a bit of magic from yesterday? I was lucky to spot three otters in the River Avon. I watched them as they swam up river, went onto the far bank and back in again. Other accounts suggest that this is a mum and two pups. Quite wonderful. Have a good day! xx

A trip to Bath Abbey to see 'Peace Doves' by Peter Walker - 6800 paper doves suspended in mid-air. It was quietly beautiful, and I added my own hopes for world peace, obviously, but also inner peace to anyone who is troubled. Worth popping in, but it finishes tomorrow (14th). Have a good day! xx

Soggy here. I took some pics yesterday, but who needs more grey skies in their timeline, so here's a postcard from sunny Bath taken on Saturday. Have a good day! xx

A quiet plod round this morning. Yesterday, Bella and I got completely soaked in a major downpour. To be honest, I didn't really mind, but B looked extremely mournful, even though she had a nice cosy coat on. Have a good day! xx

I've been drawing/painting with pastels recently. It's a nice way to dwell in light-filled places when it's gloomy outside.

A grey day yesterday and more of the same this morning. Here's a tranquil pic away from the crowds on Saturday - the Cross Bath building glimpsed from the doorway to St. John's Hospital courtyard. Have a good day! xx

The neighbourhood fox is making our mornings less relaxing! Much as I like him, we might try the other way for a few days to let everyone calm down. Sunny yesterday as I went into town, I stuck to the side streets which were less busy inc the appropriately named Quiet Street. Have a good day! xx

The morning fox was back today. It's very curious about the dogs. At this time of year, neighbours leave boxes of apples out for anyone to take. I've had so many, I've pretty much gone off apple, but we've got some nice stewed fruit in the freezer for when I fancy it again! 😂 Have a good day! xx

I'm not a huge fan of winter mornings but today was quiet, mildish and dry, so mustn't grumble. Have a good day! Xx

A full moon and a small, watchful fox accompanied our walk this morning. Yesterday we were having a nice, autumnal walk until Somebody became squirrel-headed and ran away into the woods. She came back again but there will be more training and lead-only walks for a while. Sigh. Have a good day! xx

A very chilled out walk this morning. Makes a nice change. I had a bonus walk in the woods yesterday but it was pretty muddy so we didn't go too far. Have a good day! Xx

No new pics, so here's a heron snapped at Prior Park at the weekend. Have a good day! xx

Mild and a bit windy out. I was going to post a 'noir' pic of wet pavements and streetlights but I think Monday needs a cheerful one, so here's another from Saturday. Have a good day! xx

Having had grey skies for Stourhead on Friday, yesterday morning was bathed in perfect autumn sunshine, so, after I'd shaken my angry fists at the contrary weather gods, I trotted along to Prior Park to enjoy the views there. Just lovely. I'm lucky to have such a place nearby. Have a good day! xx

I went to a First Light event at NT Stourhead yesterday. Due to battery issues I couldn't take my big camera, just my phone. I also took Bella, having checked it was okay. It was overcast, but I still got some good snaps and we had a lovely walk round. Very special. Have a good day! xx

I went into town yesterday for the private view of the New Bath Arts Club exhibition (will post separately), which gave me the opportunity for some evening snaps. I was delighted to find a handy puddle near the abbey! Have a good day!

All quiet this morning. Lots of walk yesterday but pics not up to much so here's another one from Monday. Pulteney Weir in the sunshine. Have a good day! xx

Yesterday, I walked into town to deliver a painting to BRSLI, Queen Square in the autumn sunshine. I'm so delighted that it got into the New Bath Arts Club's 2nd Annual Exhibition (the first when non-members have been able to apply), 28th Oct to 7th Nov. Yippee! Have a good day! xx

Back in the 12th century, French sculptor Gislebertus carved this angel as (s)he appears to the three Magi as they dream, waking one with the delicate touch of a finger, and pointing her other forefinger toward the Bethlehem star (Cathedral of St Lazare, Autun)
