Story of evening drive through Cornish countryside, after working day eeking out the mundane, it brought rainbows, sheep, rain, horses, mountains, moody landscapes, snowdrops, rivers…and cats!

Was surprised to see dogs running free down lanes on way to local Tor, more so this cat!

A warm 8 degrees C, but stormy teen in tow, no climbing this Tor for me tonight, future plans laid though as first time I’ve visited the area since moving here. New discoveries still abound. View from car park to rocky Tor. Clearer view of Tor from car park. Reminds me of days picnicking and walking the forests up country with my Dad, we always loved a good trek. Roadside stop to capture these delicate yet hardy Snowdrops, tips dabbed with green colour, welcoming in spring. It’s a long windy road, only one cars width, across moorland to get where we’re going. Sheep and horses free roam, as well as farm dogs, and on our war back, way out in the middle of nowhere we spy the Black Beast of The Moors! Curious and quite at home on the grassy bank, I’m sure it’s home not far, perhaps a farmhouse hidden down country lane. This feline looked comfortable in its Kingdom and was happy to pose for photos. On way back we spotted rainbows galore, over windswept shore. Magick ✨

The tide is out at yet another wild West Coast beach here in NZ. I didn't have this one labelled so I believe it's Anawhata Beach. So many beaches, so little time (and proper photo organisation LOL). The clouds are scattered in the sky. Hints of blue peep through the cloud deck. With the low tide, larger clumps of rock formations on the darker sands are exposed. In the distance, the sloping hills of the Waitakere Ranges can be seen as they meet and melt into the Tasman Sea. They are covered with a dense green duvet of natural trees and shrubs. ...and my heart found peace and healing this day...
