Awoke to this year's winter greeting card from @pipesburrow.bsky.social in the mailbox! Although I did not receive the coveted "funny-looking worm" edition this season, it was nonetheless a pleasant surprise! Thank you Pipes!

Per the usual late Pipesburrow card procedure, there'll be an added item included as a token of apology

This year it will be centered around a magical theme✨ with Dungeons and Dragons stamps for all US recipients 🐉 and a Bloomburrow trading card🦡 (I tried to match them to each person's personality)

It's day four past my latest deadline for finishing this drawing and I can safely say that I've severely underestimated how much time it would take to illustrate this idea.

Whenever I need to focus on an illustration, I always frequent the nearest coffee shop. The pleasant atmosphere and isolation do wonders for my concentration. ☕

Rough pencil thumbnail sketch. A fox in a little cap sits on the shoulders of a large bear has they try to place a star on the top of a Christmas tree. Lost in concentration, the fox doesn't realize that his elbow is bunching up the fur on the bears forehead, much to his amusement. Rough pencil thumbnail sketch. A raccoon mailman delivers the smallest of packages to a family of rats who have made their home inside of a mailbox. One of the rats reaches up to accept a bundle of neatly tied boxes while the others can be seen sitting and laughing together through a window on the side. The interior is quite nicely decorated. Well done little rats. Rough pencil thumbnail sketch. A fox proudly presents his friend with a small handmade ornament that is dressed just like him. The recipient, a bear, looks on is stunned amazement with stars in his eyes at the thoughtful gift, his two big paws covering the front of his face. The background has a pegboard with a scarf and mittins hanging.
