Barghest, big black dog of t’ Ashfall, is seldom seen, but folk feel him like a weight on their backs. He grows wi’ Harrowden’s sorrow, towerin’ over rooftops on heavy nights, shrinkin’ to a soot-shadow on others. His red eyes never fade… a soft burn remindin’ us our grief never walks alone.
