A tremendous effort from all involved. Belvedere is a treasure. Bravo, Jon.
After a long 20-month slumber... Belvidere Cinema came back with a bang Saturday with one of the crazy busiest events we've ever done. Around 180 in attendance for E.T. between two shows - first, nearly a full house - with guests visiting from Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan.

Old Town Mall in Baltimore, MD from my 2019 expedition. This area of the city is so gross in the best possible way if you’re into exploration. So many ways to get killed while filming. 10/10, would do it again. I miss Baltimore…see my video on Old Town Mall here:

This is the first picture I took of Petal the Elephant at the demolished Burlington Center Mall NJ in 2017. I was captivated by Dan Bell’s piece on this mall and couldn’t sleep until I saw it in person. Luckily this amazing mall fountain by Xenos Frudakis is now on permanent display in NJ

The Forest Fair Mall (Cincinnati Mills) foodcourt from one of my visits in 2021. Named “Picnic on the River”, this masterpiece will go down as one of the most unique public meeting places in the world, but has sadly been demolished. See my videos on Forest Fair here:

Schuylkill Mall planter from my visit in August of 2017 with a great sense of impending doom lurking just beyond the concourse. This Crown American legend was demolished shortly after my visit. Full video and Epilogue amidst the demolition here:

This disgustingly beautiful gate at the Olean Center Mall, NY hasn’t been opened in decades, and it probably won’t ever open again until the wrecking ball comes.

The delightfully retro yet devastatingly quiet concourse at Cressona Mall. One of my favorites that I’ve filmed. Full video one day here:

Century III Mall at the Sears Concourse as I saw it in February of 2023, just before they cut power to the abandoned mall. As it nears complete demolition, this titan of retail grows even stronger in my heart. We will never see a structure like this mall again.

One of the smallest and saddest merry go rounds I’ve ever seen was at the now-defunct Charlottesville Fashion Square in VA…coming soon in ExLog 140 along with a tour of the troubled Hull blandfest, Danville Mall. Gimme about a week or so, it’ll premiere here:

The fragility of Pennrose Mall cannot be emphasized enough. This is the entrance to Roses, an original anchor from 1968. Former NC State Senator Frank Penn cut a deal with Roses Stores back in 1967 to bring them on as the first Senior Anchor. See my full video here:

I really dig the spooky spirit of this truck driver.

Had to take a break from editing Pennrose to let Coco, Trixie and Nico show you all their sweet Halloween costumes. Coco is a bat, Trixie is a butterfly and Nico is an awkward lion. Don’t mind my fur suit, the whole thing will be revealed soon. New spooky episode in a week!!

Since so many mentioned it after my post on the Olive Garden solarium yesterday, I got lunch here at the Tysons Bagel Market right next door (with a cheeky pic of the Olive Garden building from behind). This place is incredible and I’ve always come here when I had violin lessons up the street. 8.6

I just hit up Tysons Galleria to get a new wallet at Montblanc. Tried a new cologne there. Didn’t know they sold that. Grabbed a coffee at Shotted, then I had to pee. No matter how much money some malls make, they still can’t avoid the bathrooms breaking. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
