Brought out the quilt I’m using for October. Made with the John Hewson reproduction prints along with with some others from my stash. I think this was one of the best reproduction fabric lines I’ve ever gotten my hands on. Dates to 1790-1800.

Just completed a new wall hanging for my dining area. Inspired by an 1850 quilt, the printed fabrics are all mid 19th century reproductions.

I called the Medicare hotline and their canned info states that Medicare covers Covid vaccines. So not sure what’s happening.
I’m grateful I was able to get the vaccine, and $200 isn’t going to break me. But it could be difficult for others with less.

I just got my Covid and flu vaccines at CVS. I am not in one of the 16 states where CVS changed its policy on the vaccine. I am over 65. I was told that Medicare refused to cover my Covid vaccine. I was required to pay $203 for my shot. Will update when I get more info

Best thing about this time of year is it’s still warm enough to sleep with the windows open. But it gets cool enough to sleep under the quilt.

This is the quilt I’m using for September. The wide printed borders and the rondels are Dutch reproductions from Petra Prins.

Not a medical professional, but when I was in the hospital, they constantly checked my ankles for swelling. I got the impression that wouldn’t have been a good thing

This week, I’m hosting The Daily Show Tuesday through Thursday.

It’s my first time hosting anything on TV. Ever.

I’ve spent years writing behind the scenes, learning from truly great and talented people. Now, for three nights, I get to sit at the desk and do it myself.
