The second artist performing at this year's National Queer Arts Festival's Emerging Artists Showcase was Rai Dang. Rai Dang presented her project Blood 4 Rain: Animist grief alchemy alongside Inéz Nuñez de Arco, combining live drums, siku, quena, guitar, gong, and analog electronics.

Another artist being featured as part of NQAF's Emerging Artists Showcase (October 5th at Counterpulse - tickets in bio!) is Melissa Charles (@melcharles5). Melissa (she, her) is an educator-organizer of Haitian and Cuban descent who uses expressive writing as an outlet for healing.

Another artist featured at our Emerging Artists Showcase (October 5th at Counterpulse) is Rai. A queer Southeast Asian drummer, Rai will be presenting "Blood 4 Rain" along with collaborator Inéz. This performance is bringing animist grief alchemy using live drums, siku, EBM, techno, Cumbia and more!
