She/her. 🇺🇦 🏳️‍🌈 Proud 🏳️‍⚧️ mom. 🧵 🧶 Knitter, crocheter, sewist, crafty bitch in general. Godless heathen/UU. Sumo Addict. Feral ND. Dog person who quite likes cats. Adopt don't shop- including corgis. Allergic to everything- including corgis. 🤧
Trying to think of not-discriminatory explanation for this. Failing.
A note on the Indie Design Giftalong that is currently running on Ravelry. #knitsky 🧶

I had contacted the organizer, Ninaknits, about joining as a designer. She refused, claiming I had not met the min 20 published for sale pattern threshold.

The bundle of designs is now searchable. It shows 3,965

Twitter accounts are based in Russia. BlueSky accounts are based in homes with, frankly, too many books, plants, obsolete cables, and pieces of rustic pottery, that could do with a bit of a tidying up, to be honest.

Just found a puppies-for-sale account following and reposting me. I have never blocked anybody so fast! ADOPT DON'T SHOP, you diabolical jackass. #dogsky Kinda wish I could tag her. 😂

Happy Fibonacci Day! In Fibonacci sequences, each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers. That's why 11/23 (1,1,2,3 is a Fibonacci sequence) is Fibonacci Day!

Okay, one week into my new job, I can safely announce: I don't like it. 😒 It's only seasonal anyway but I can't wait to find something else. 🥾 This is the first time I've had energy to knit all week! 🧶

A bit of whimsy this Friday morning. It’s Thanksgiving around the corner here. There’s been some chat about pumpkin pies & then the hats started showing up in my crochet groups. A silly little thing. 😅🧶

I've decided to finish this scrappy 10 stitch blanket at the next corner. It's comfortably lap blanket size and I am BORED WITH IT. 🤣 🧶 #knitting

I thought I had nothing to contribute for 🧶 #ShowMeYourKnits Floof week because I don't like fluffy yarn. But then if pets wearing knits count, I AM BACK! 😂 George is wearing/loathing a fab turquoise sweater, and then first Penny & then baby George are wearing a glow in the dark bumblebee sweater.

The socks have heels! An unholy mashup of a couple heel recipes- I did the centimeter of plain knitting Norman recommends before starting short rows, but NOT German s.r., instead I did the divide it in third, w&ts but didn't pick up the wraps approach. I like the stripe it leaves! 🧶 #knitting

If you don't have a library card, you should get a library card. Once you have that library card, you should get the Libby app. Once you get the Libby app, go browse the newsstand. Good chance your library card gives you access to ALL THE MAGAZINES. I'm talking the real good shit. AND BACK ISSUES.

HOLY SHIT. They found the genes for fibromyalgia - and it's *not* autoimmune, it's the central nervous system. It's very cool to see some progress made on the thing that's ruined my life since late teenage years!
Medical Republic: 'Fibromyalgia finally gets a genetic fingerprint'

'Additionally, certain risk loci overlapped with long covid (BPTF) and ME/CFS (OLFM4, RABGAP1L/GPR52), two poorly characterised disorders, albeit with different lead variants.'

Okay. Fine. As Elizabeth Zimmerman exhorted us, I will "knit on with confidence and hope through all crises", the biggest of which is that my spouse is being laid off 2 days before Thanksgiving. Might add a little swearing to all that hope & confidence. 😒 🧶 Nearly to the heel on these. 🧦
