AREN'T I?" kalla begins to shout, then laugh, standing over bryan while choking him with her hoof. "heh. ha hah. HA HA HA! "Oh, I'm not just her. I'm everyone you love. and I am RETRIBUTION"

"Dorothy? did you just now see someo-" bryan tries to say but gets cut off by 'dorothy'. "I made you something special for your lunch, but i forgot to give it to ya!" the two embrace, but tendrils of green energy begin to seep from bryan to what seems to be his wife. "Thanks dear... that's really kind of you. i love you." says brian, starting to get drowsy. "I know." replies Dorothy. Brian collapses to the floor. "i feel so... tired... dear...ie..." Dorothy stands there absorbing his love for her as her eyes gleam a sickly green.

I'm sorry. I don't think I recognize you?" kalla says "it's ka... tie... katie. I... think I must have dropped it when you called. it's in... this alleyway... yeah..." kalla leads bryan to a dark alleyway. bryan says "ah no worries, i drop mine too sometimes. somewhere here, then?" but kalla is gone. bryan wonders "uh... katie? where did she go...?"

once again, context for the amulet comes from @tigergirltail.bsky.social 's story 'tiger and changeling'
flying high page 25 by queen melodis kalla holds the ham covered pill out in front of the ring tailed lemur who is squirming. she thinks to herself 'i'm just here for tanja, just get through this.' her amulet falls out from her neck and the lemur recognises it, pointing and shouting out. kalla mutters 'please shut up. i'm only here for her.' bryan, holding the lemue, says 'what was that?' kalla brushes it off and says 'oh nothing'

flying high page 24 kalla walks angrily through the zoo. she is interrupted by a "hey you, keeper! could you give me a hand? this one's a little shy. it's her first week..." a middle aged man, missing his right arm, the same one she has been tracking for the last few days asks her for help. 'does he know? that i've been stalking him? what really goes on here? let's just go along with it' she thinks to herself. holding a lemur, the man, bryan, asks of kalla: "she needs to take her meds, please give her them... i'll hold her"

flying high page 17 tanja the bird asks "so... about that thing that you said upset me... could you tell me about it? more, I mean? i totally remember." alexis the tiger responds "grr... fine. your 'friend' erika is a piece of human garbage. she works in 'acquiring' exhibits for that soo. please. stay away." alexis continues, the background being erika suspended from strings in shadow as nomi and the lamia from the zoo, saphir, make pleading gestures towards her. their eyes glow white, alongside many other white glowing eyes behind them of various other animals. behind and above erika is a shadowy figure with glowing eyes as well. "she's already taken a dear friend of mine. and who knows how many other innocent therians... trapped in that place... not to mention what her boss... miller... ... *she pauses* I just didn't want you to be lured in. and end up stuck in one of their cages"

I didn't mean to spook you, but I kind of lost control, and... I'm sorry." tanja looks to the side, unsure, saying "huh, what? oh, um. it's nothing. just water under the bridge, you know?" alexis looks suspicious, saying "um... you seemed pretty upset earlier, but okay?"
