A fun adventure that utilizes projections and an intricate set to take audiences on this wild ride, you still have a couple of days to catch The Da Vinci Code at Vertigo Theatre.

Closing night of the record-setting 2025 Calgary Underground Film Festival saw an Eli Craig double-header, and it was the perfect pairing featuring the sold-out Canadian premiere of Clown in a Cornfield.

So my favourite localish band has landed in Japan for an amazing tour!

Bad Buddy celebrated with a pre-trip show in Olds and ran through their set plus played a second one just for funsies. Good luck, dudes! Have a fantastic time.

You dine, maybe you die — that’s the tagline for Vertigo Theatre’s current offering, A Killing at La Cucina. But this lackluster affair is a lot like avantguard fare. It leaves you questioning if you ate at all.

It's mini review time over on my Substack!

This week The Monkey hits the big screen. Thanks to the Calgary Underground Film Festival, I got a chance to see it a few days early, and I gotta tell you, it's one of the best films I've seen in a while.

Funny, dark, gory, it's definitely worth a watch. So many laughs. So many cringes.

Today's shitty little mental health walk was longer than normal as I was trying to take advantage of the warmth. It also meant it was blustry.

Question. Has anyone had any dealings with blueskycalgary.com?

They reached out looking for link backs, but when I dug, their about page seems super suspect. I asked for links for their "featured on" section, and they couldn't provide them. 🤔

Today's shitty mental health walk brought pigeons exploring if a new build is in their budget, painted rocks scattered throughout the park, some old cars, and lots, and lots of ice.

Gonna start doing daily shitty little mental health walks — or at least try to. I have made a coffee, and I am off for a wander!

It's incredibly unreal being in the UK this week.

But today was a coffee and wander day kind of day.

So, the high school I graduated from is fundraising to do theatre improvements.

Those seats were uncomfortable in the early 2000s, I can't image how bad they are now! Donate if you can.

I think... maybe the beefing happening between Bluesky and The Platform Formerly Known As Twitter is just a mass scale version of the beefing between MySpace and LiveJournal

Or LJ and Tumblr

Or Newgrounds and 4hell

And honestly? It's silly AND I wanna tell people welcome to nerd hell 😌

I've known Wendy for years but was never aware how much Fuse33 Makerspace has helped her career until I interviewed her for this impact story. So cool.
FUSE33 IMPACT STORY Wendy Peters is a person who understands how working in a creative hub can lead to all sorts of connections and collaborations.

And for her, that space has been Fuse33 Makerspace.
