Posted a new chapter of the fanfic. If anyone's curious, it's a Need For Speed fanfic focusing on the 00's era of games providing a bit more of an interconnected story from Underground to Carbon, though they're mostly focused on just snippets of the protagonist's life.

I put out a chapter of a new story in FF./net
Ten minutes later I get a notif that a user followed/favorited it
I do a quick check and see that SOMEHOW the chapter does not have a view counted in.
SO HOW ARE THESE BOT ACCOUNTS ABLE TO DO THAT?!

2025 was an incredible year for gaming releases. I only hope 2026 can be at least half as good. And also that the industry becomes better.

I haven't posted it here but I finished writing a Frozen fanfic and published the final chapter at ao3 a few months ago.

I went from trying to complete a 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle at the start of the year to finishing a bunch of lego-likes and a pair of replicas to end the year.
Maybe I'll get back to that puzzle someday...if/when I have the space for it.

More than 6 years since its initial announcement as DLC, more than 8 since its predecessor's release, Hollow Knight: Silksong had been anticipated for so long that its wait had reached memetic status. But upon its release on September 4th, Team Cherry proved that it was all worth it.

1. I don't play a lot of turn-based RPGs. At least not to the point that I am a diehard fan.
2. I am nowhere close to finishing the game.
With that out of the way...
Expedition 33 is a love letter to turn-based RPGs. I feel so much passion and care into their efforts.

I love almost everything about South of Midnight. From its story in a setting that's uncommon in its medium, to its artstyle and animation, to the beautiful sounds and music, to the exploration the game provides, it's all a wonderful experience to behold.
