In amongst all the excitement I fear many have missed this outstanding bit of trolling by Friedrich Merz.

The Chancellor gifted Trump a gilded framed copy of his grandfather’s German birth certificate... reminding Americans that Trump is both the child and grandchild of migrants.

There’s a group of Labour MPs whose vision for the country appears to be equality of misery: businesses made less dynamic and taxed more than under the Conservatives, child poverty continuing to rise as it did under the Conservatives.
6 in 10 households hit by the two child limit are working families. TBH I’d expect an MP keen to comment to know that.

Rising child poverty is the “retrograde step”. Removing the two child limit helps children get a good start in life.

Broken Labour agrees on one thing: frustration with Keir Starmer

There's no placating the Brexiters, no reasoning with them, no basic comprehension or adulthood. You can't debate papers behaving like the Sun or the Mail this morning. There's nothing to debate with. They view all trading relations with Europe as humiliation.

Rep. Robert Garcia: "Well, he is a dick."

I approve this message.

Quite unnerving watching quite how many Conservative frontbenchers have decided to leap on 'actually the 2022 inquiry that happened under us wasn't sufficient. We've just discovered this now'. Terrible for their own self-interest as well as being ridiculous.
Tory frontbenchers Chris Philp and Alicia Kearns later wrote to home secretary Yvette Cooper demanding a national inquiry. But they did not comment on why the Conservatives had not set up such a probe while in government.
