Hey new followers! We’re Handiwork Games and we make #astate second edition, #Beowulf Age of Heroes, #maskwitches of Forgotten Doggerland, and are currently on Kickstarter with #FiveEvil. We like to think we make games as good as the big companies while being just a handful of folks doing our best.

The moon is in the sky. A witch from Maskwitches of Forgotten Doggerland, in the curious photographic art style of that game using sets and models and a lot of smoke machine. The witch has a mask made from a poppy seed head with two small eyeholes. It looks a bit like a vegetable gas mask. The cover painting from FiveEvil Splinters part three. Yesterday Clive Evil received two requests to “review” roleplaying game products.

What have I done?

There’s a very dangerous issue here because Clive is not scripted. He also does almost everything in one take.

For a|state second edition we wanted to have several artists working on it so we could make a generous amount of art. We pushed a previously-developed style, closely referencing photographs and using painted-over montages to complement Paul Bourne’s beautiful CG imagery, key to the setting.
