It looks like an octopus or a spiny starfish!
But, don't get fooled by its appearance because it's an ultra #rare flower ( #Rhizantes deceptor ) blooming in the wild, although this #specimen is on the rooting phase. The #petals would be white, elongated, and very hairy.

This is for the first time I see this distinctive #longhorns #beetle in #Sumatra. Introduce you to ( #Thysia wallichii ) and the only species in the #genus Thysia. FYI The beetle is known for its unique #nocturnal communication, sending vibrations through wood like morse code.

#Sumatra did magic that could make #invertebrates grow bigger like this Sumatran Giant #Millipede ( #Thyropygus sp. ) with the body almost as long as my arm and the mammals grow smaller like our smallest tiger in the #world. This dude is truly a gentle giant.

Finally, my dream came true to see the smallest #primate on earth in the wild! Introduce you to a Spectral Tarsier ( #Tarsius spectrum ) native to Northern #Sulawesi. Not only did I see one tarsier, but I saw 3 different families in one location. I think this species looks like baby YODA ahahaha.

Here is the biggest #bird in #Java island and the #biggest on the family, Introduce you to The #Lesser #Adjutant ( #Leptoptilos javanicus) with a very #odd looking appearance. It has a height of around 110 cm and a wingspan of 210 cm. Watch them flying, and it truly amazes me!
