The front loop only stitch was super easy for me to get down and the only reason the practice swatch is so long is because I was having fun. I really like how flat and neat this stitch is

I missed some stitches near the end of this, but I think I'm comfortable with the half double crochet stitch now

Is this a slip stich?

I became comfortable with the triple crochet stitch rather quickly, so now I have the 3 basic crochet stitches down!

It took a bit, but I'm comfortable with the double crochet stitch now!

I am fully comfortable with the single crochet stitch now! I'll practice weaving my ends in more as I learn new stitches

Loose ends weaved in

Not bad for my first test swatch, right? I know I missed some stitches (mainly at the ends, whoops), but that's ok; I'm learning

I keep getting interested in witchcraft, falling out of it, then getting interested again. What do I do?

Thanks to @toniprekker.com , my crocheting has already improved drastically! Thank you! 💜

I'm learning to crochet and I'm just making a little swatch to practice. Here's what I have so far

Why does no one talk about how in The Santa Clause Charlie says he's going to kill his dad? He says that he's going to go into the "family business", saying that he'll be Santa, which would require murdering his own father

I finally finished reading Boys in the Valley by Philip Fracassi and it was amazing. I cannot reccomend it enough if you like spine-chilling horror. It starts off strong, then it seems to lay off the horror for a while, but when you're done you realize it hasn't. It was just warming up

nothing bruises my ego more than when a game asks me if I'd like to try again on a lower difficulty.

Just started playing Ratchet & Clank for the first time and man, I was missing out growing up on Nintendo alone

Just started reading Boys in the Valley by Philip Fracassi and it's already gripping

Just finished reading The Island by Natasha Preston and can reccomend it on a few conditions
1 You don't mind foreshadowing that is far from subtle
2 You don't mind constant references to social media as that happens a lot at the start
3 You like amusement parks and want to see them more in horror

The Island by Natasha Preston: Chapter 7
The book has taken a turn into completely interesting and I will stop giving my thoughts on each chapter now, but I will link a goodreads review when I'm done reading and I will update here if anything changes quality-wise.

The Island by Natasha Preston: Chapter 6
There's more setup here. A character has gone missing in the sense that he wasn't with the others for breakfast. The man who owns the island wasn't worried. Is this because it's a teenage boy or did he kill him? I'm leaning towards the latter.

The Island by Natasha Preston: Chapter 5
This chapter mainly just had the main character, Paisley, exploring the amusement park on the island by herself at night and experiencing some srange things that gave her the chills. It feels like the setup for a payoff later, so I'm invested.

The Island by Natasha Preston: Chapter 4
Luckily, this chapter continues the trend from the last of things actually happening. The first two chapters were setup and now we get to enjoy a book that's getting interesting. I thought I would hate all the references to Tik Tok, but it's not that bad.

The Island by Natasha Preston: Chapter 3
We're finally getting into the territory of interesting things going on and away from the social media references. While social media is still talked about a good deal, things actually happen in this chapter. Better yet, something slightly spooky happens.

The Island by Natasha Preston: Chapter 2
We're finally starting to get away from social media to talk more about the island and amuesment park, but the fact that the main character is an influencer is still very important. I do like the writer's voice, I just don't know how I feel about the work.

The Island by Natasha Preston: Chapter 1
Meeting the characters was fun and each character is unique enough from each other to be memorable, even if they fit different sterotypes well. I'm still a bit weary of allthe pop cultyre and social media references, hoping this book goes above them!
