Could have won, could have lost... so a draw is probably a fair result. But Slot has to stop starting Isak. He has to earn his place in the side. And 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 to Chiesa. Plus Gomez getting a run in the side has helped the defence, aside from a bad tackle.

It feels different because everyone said Hodgson was out of his depth pretty much from the off, whereas Slot barely put a foot wrong last season. And what can he change? No options in defence. Not many in midfield. Seasoned pros who have just won the league are making the most basic mistakes.

We need to start Chiesa against West Ham. He looks like he cares, which always helps. I suggest a 1-9 formation.

You can't say that on paper adding Kerkez and Isak was a poor decision, because when we did it the vast majority of pundits said we'd win the league again. We certainly miss Trent's passing and Diaz's energy... But it can't just be that.

Every error is getting punished. No one is helping their teammates. The side is totally unbalanced. We make every team look like peak Barcelona, and when that includes a side managed by Sean Dyche, we're in trouble.

Exactly. I know it backfired last time Slot dropped Salah in Europe but there's a lot of players here who need a rest, or a change. Especially in central defence but we have no cover.

Think we can put that down as a bad day in a week that's otherwise been full of positives. Decisions went against us (VVD was lucky not to get booked tho') and Man City are in a better place than us at the moment, plus Pep's 1000th game gave them even more momentum. We move on... #LFC

How are we feeling about tonight people? Can't see much wrong with that line-up. Gakpo has played a lot, missed a few and tonight may be a night when we really need to take our chances, plus Wirtz has done better in the CL #LFC

A lot's been said about how we miss Diaz - and if I was a defender I think I'd find Gakpo easier to play against than Diaz, with all his energy and movement. But Diaz wanted to leave and we have Rio in the wings - the right decision #LFC
